Events and Celebrations
Havel is an old country, rife with events, activities and commemorations to our past. Many celebrations are connected to (religion name) or to the great successes of our distant and recent past. Misan, our capital and the seat of the Corynen, has the most and grandest celebrations. Join us in the pride of our country!
Day of Havel
Day: (date)
This is the day the country was founded as an independent country rather than an outpost for a mining colony. Some call it the Forever Eclipse, as it is the day Havellans were legally shielded from their Eshenian colonisers. In regions that allow it, water-shows are most common. Fountains with complex light displays are operated manually as dancers play between falling drops, and food kiosks and trucks are particularly plentiful.
Day of the Moon
Day: the first day of each month of the Korremamh calendar
This is the day the moon is new, or fully eclipsed, which occurs once a month on the lunar calendar. This is the day in which Korr rests or hides after having run about with the sun’s light. During this day, people are encouraged to rest with their closest friends and family. Entertainment is often at a discount, and most commerces and offices are closed for the day.
